Alonso Steals Montreal Show

Alonso yet again (yawn!!!!) cruised to victory in the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix , Micheal Schumacher again came second, clinching the second place from Kimi in the second last lap. The race had a lot of drama, Kimi's car was stuck in the pitlane after his engine died, and later on the 69th lap, he ran wide allowing micheal schumacher to clinch yet another second place (it ain't good enough)

Ferrari sees blue at Canada

The canadian formula one grand prix qualifying saw the return to form of Fischichella. Alonso scored pole and Giancarlo made it an impressive 1-2. Micheal Schumacher never looked as though he could pose a challenge to Alonso and had to be content with a dismal 5th place.

Villeneuve Quits GDPA

Villeneuve quit the gdpa over his failure to oust Micheal Schumacher from the GDPA directors on the monaco incident.

Good One !!

Alonso cruised to a simple victory in the British Grand Prix, he showcased his sheer dominance on the Formula One circuit. One thing i wonder here is, when ferrari won every race, everyone said that ferrari is evil and change rules and so on, now when renault is pounding the competition in every race , i see no opposition.

Today was the most boring race, little moves, no competition for Alonso, and except for the crashes, little excitement. Hope future races have more people contending for 1st place. And also lets have 1 minute silence for Jenson Button, poor guy, sometimes he crashes and when he isnt able to break his day, then his car finishes the job for him.

Villeneuve thinks Schumi should quit from GPDA

Villeneuve has again come out against Schumi, he suggested that seven time Formula One Micheal was not fit to be the Grand Prix Driver's Association's Director. A few days ago Webber had made similar comments. He made it clear that he was unhappy with Schumi leading the association.

Villeneuve's comments

" I can only give a personal opinion and I'm not happy someone can run the GPDA and act like that "

" If you try to make people believe that you didn't do it on purpose then you just look stupid. "

My take on this :-

Villeneuve should mind his own buisness, first he should care about his driving then worry about what Micheal is upto.

I received an email from F1.com about the opening of their new Formula One store, i decided to give it a try, how expensive could it be ?

As it turns out , i had to eat my own words , Here are some examples, you will see what i mean

Mousemat
Hand-made in England exclusively for Formula 1™ by specialist composite technicians who make Formula One monocoques, this carbon mouse mat was designed using state of the art automotive 3D modelling software.
$470.52 (Ouch, the last mousemat i got was free, heck every mousemat i got was free)

Keyring
$47.05-$56.46, the last one i bought was for Rs.25 or $.5

This might be a good step to earn some money, but F1 seems to have forgotten its real fans, these objects are for the filthy RICH.

Catch the qualifying action this saturday for a spectacular Formula One weekend, who will win, Alonso or Schumacher, or will Kimi surprise them all ?

Well, my memories of silverstone chiefly include the images of Schumacher's brakes failing and he breaking his ankle which i believe cost him the formula one world championship that year, at that time a huge debate about Tyre wall safety had been initiated. This time Montoya expressed his concerns over safety at the Formula One circuit. More specifically he is worried about the Copse corner. The increasing speeds according to him will make the circuit dangerous. Poor Silverstone controversies just seem to love it.

The seven time Formula One world Champion in his own words

"The tests last week went off well for us so we have every reason to be optimistic for the weekend."

"There's no question about what our goal is: We're going to Silverstone to win the Formula One race," he said.

"I have to say that everything seems positive. I think that the results should come from this weekend on."

"We managed to develop the car well. The tyres are ready for Silverstone and, overall, we worked hard ahead of next weekend's Formula One race."

The British Grand Prix is a race in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is currently held at the Silverstone Circuit near the village of Silverstone in Northamptonshire.

Grand Prix motor racing was first established in Britain by Henry Segrave at the Brooklands course in 1926 after his winning of the French Grand Prix in 1923 and the following year at the Spanish Grand Prix which raised interest in the sport. The first ever British Grand Prix was won by the French team of Louis Wagner and Robert Sénéchal driving a Delage 155B.

Silverstone has hosted the race regularly since the start of the F1 championship in 1950 (in which it was the first race of the first ever official World Championship) and every year since 1987; it alternated with Brands Hatch between 1964 and 1986, and with Aintree (better known as a horse-racing course) between 1955 and 1962.

During the 2003 British Grand Prix, Neil Horan, an Irish ex-priest, ran onto the track at the Hangar Straight, waving religious banners. He was immediately tackled by race officials and removed from the premises.

A dispute between Silverstone's owners, the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), and the Formula One authorities in 2003 over the funding of necessary improvements to the track's facilities led to doubts over the future of the race.

In October 2004 the British Grand Prix was left off the preliminary race schedule for 2005 because the BRDC refused to pay the race fee demanded by Bernie Ecclestone. However, after months of negotiation between the BRDC, Ecclestone and the Formula One constructors, an deal was made for the Grand Prix to be held at Silverstone until 2009.

The 2005 Grand Prix was an important race for all the drivers, especially Fernando Alonso, Kimi Räikkönen and Michael Schumacher. McLaren were tipped to be runaway winners but Renault emerged as major challengers during the race.

The 2004 London F1 parade.

London has been mooted as a possible venue for a Grand Prix after a parade of Formula One cars was held on Regent Street in London in July 2004. This parade, which was widely considered to be successful with about 500,000 spectators turning up, has led to speculation that a street circuit in London could replace or alternate with Silverstone as the venue of the British Grand Prix. Another possibility is that a separate London Grand Prix could be held whilst keeping the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. London Mayor Ken Livingstone said he supports the idea of a race around the streets of London, saying it would be highly beneficial to the city. However, opinion is split in the Formula One community about whether any of these options would be practical or desirable.
